All The Benefits Of Consuming Aloe Vera Extract When Added To Your Daily Regiment

By Erik Roberts

The majority of people know Aloe has some beneficial topical uses for skin and even minor burns. However, many are unaware of the myriad other benefits of Aloe Vera juice and its medical applications.

Some benefits can be seen when it is consumed for the treatment of heartburn and IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. Results from studies show the liquid aids in the stimulation of the immune system in dogs and cats with cancer. These tests have not been extended to humans yet, but a similar outcome is expected.

Additional applications arising from the consumption of the liquid also include aid for diabetics in stabilizing blood sugar levels. For many people dealing with ulcerative colitis, it can help alleviate symptoms. Blood lipid levels seem to be lowered in those who consume it as well. It is staggering to see the number of benefits of Aloe Vera juice.

A familiar area of the plant is in its topical uses. A large amount of evidence supports that the gel from the plants have a significant impact on minor burns below the third degree. Its ability to help in increasing the speed of healing other wounds has been difficult to establish as of yet.

Some tests have shown that this type of use of the gel actually slows the healing process when compared with more modern topical treatments. While this should not be considered a limitation for the application, it should be understood to reduce expectations to a reasonable rate.

It can also be used topically to help relieve genital herpes symptoms as well as possessing good qualities for minor wound like boils and cysts in an antibacterial sense. The liquid is also used by some as a mouth rinse to decrease the onset of gingivitis. However, trials have indicated there is no advantage to using the juice instead of a fluoridated dentifrice.
