Broiled Salmon: How To Make It The Easy Way

By Chris Fargas

The most unbelievable way to have salmon is freshly cut and grilled. The flavor of the fish and the char from the grill make the perfect match. Both preparing and cleaning the grill can take quite some time. Cooking salmon over the grill might be an excellent way to enjoy this fish, but it's not recommended to people who are working on a tight schedule. But then broiling your salmon takes just a fraction of the time and you will get pretty much the same result.

Broiling can be done even if you do not have a broiler at home. Ovens that have broiler settings will be just as good as using a broiler.

Things to prepare:

-2 tblspn of quality soy sauce

-1 tablespoon honey

-1 tablespoon of rice vinegar

-A teaspoon of ginger that has been minced

-A small red onion, minced

-4 fillets of skinned salmon 6 ounces each

-One teaspoon of toasted sesame seeds

1. Put the first five ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well. It will take awhile before the honey mixes with the solution, so give it a good mix. In a Ziploc bag, add the salmon fillets and a few tablespoons of the mixture, seal and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. The marinade will enter the protein faster in an airtight bag. Reserve the remaining mixture for use later.

2.Preheat the oven at 280 degrees F. Get your baking pan ready and line it with parchment paper, if you don't have any, foil will do, just make sure you apply a layer of nonstick spray.

3. Place the salmon on the baking pan with the skinned-side down. Locating the baking tray a few inches from the heat source and broil until cooked through, this will take around 8 to 12 minutes. For the finishing touches, drizzle leftover sauce over the fish and cover with sesame seeds.

This is just one of the scores of recipes for broiling salmon that proves just how trouble-free preparing that fish can be. You can prepare everything in two shakes. So turn you oven into a broiler and try one of the recipes out.
