By Jaquel Bardon

The Palaeolithic diet is so effective because we are genetically adapted to eat what hunters and gathers ate. The modern American diet is sadly nothing like this diet and as such it do serious damage to our body and our health. The massive difference between that the palaeolithic diet and other modern, trend diets is that this is not a diet designed by some expert. It is a diet to which we are perfectly fitted because of our genetic make up. Adopting the paleo diet can have amazing effects on your weight and overall well being however many folks refuse to take on the diet for one simple reason. They like desert and they think that if they were to adopt the paleo diet that they would give this up. The truth is though you don't have to do without desert simply because you adopt the paleo diet. There are many delicious Paleo desserts available so that you don't have to lose out on your fave meal.

The original hunter-gatherers had a diet which was loaded in fruit and veg. Today however we gain almost all of our carbs from starchy grains and potato. These have high glycemic indices which could cause races blood sugars to spike. If you instead use fruit and vegetables as your principal source of carbs you will find that your blood sugar analysis readings will show small in the way of blood sugar spikes.

This is often vital when you are having desert. The last thing you need for the final meal of the day is something which is going to cause your blood sugar levels to spike. You may also find that eating paleo desert doesn't have the same weight gain effect that would usually be due to eating desert just before dinner time. Because you tend to sleep right after eating desert the weight gain effect can be more serious than if you had the meal earlier in the day.

Another problem with normal desserts is the incontrovertible fact that contain food which is not natural. For example cakes contain lots of flour. Flour is in no way a natural food. This is straightforward to note when you look at what it seems like in its original form. It contains almost nothing in the way of nourishment and is totally tasteless. When folk make cakes they add another substance which has no place in a healthy diet sugar. Much worse are a few of the treats that may be bought from fast food cafes or the supermarket. As an example a glazed doughnut is made up of these flour and sugar which is unhealthy and then it is fried in hydrogenated fats. Even substituting the processed flour for whole meal flour makes little difference. These are not foods that our hunter-gather ancestors would recognise and they are not healthy for us either.

One of the most important variations between a paleo desert and the deserts we today is the mount of fat. If you glance at the palaeolithic humans diet you will see that sweet foods never contained fat. These days though we have ice cream and chocolate which is both sweet and fatty. We also have foods like doughnuts which are both greasy and starchy. They also are sweet as well. The fact is that deserts are some of the things that are worst wrong with our modern diet.

One of the first things you need to look at when creating deserts is working out what's not satisfactory for your paleo deserts. One of the foods that you will definitely what to keep out of your paleo deserts is sugar. Whether it is concentrated sugar or maybe natural sugars such as honey or maple sugar, none of it actually is a stable part of your Palaeolithic diet. The only sugars that are satisfactory are those that derive from fruit and vegetables. If you're searching for a way to sweeten your deserts you must look to fruit pures seasoned with either lemon juice or with spices. These can be added to deserts to add sweetness to the recipes.

Another large element of conventional deserts is butter or margarine. Again these should not be part of any paleo diet but they can be replaced with heavenly substitutes like walnut oil or avocado oil. Oil oil has a wonderful taste and is high mono unsaturated fats. Unfortunately it is low in omega 6 and omega 3. To bring up the ratio of omega 3 and 6 you must add oils which are high in these substances. Both flaxseed and walnut oil make for a welcome addition to create an even healthier butter or margarine substitute. When cooking watch out to use only olive oil. Flaxseed oil and walnut oil both can release poisonous by products when they are cooked.

One of the finest paths to sweeten your puddings is by using fruits. The undeniable fact that fruits are an OK part of the palaeolithic diet is one of the crucial things that sets it apart from low carbohydrate diets. The issue with low carbohydrate diets is they. Virtually eradicate all fruit and veg because they are carbs. This could cause heavy Problems because fruits and vegetables which are loaded in anti-oxidants, fiber and other crucial nutriments. Having a diet which is loaded in fruits and vegetables is one of the most vital ways in which you can combat cancer, heart problems and osteoporosis.

Eating a healthy paleo dessert also means that you are way less likely to over eat. Virtually everybody has seen an over weight person who not only eats a complete meal but still is able to finish off ice cream or cake fro desert. Although they obviously do not need to eat anything more there brain is telling them something different. By contrast it is extraordinarily difficult to over eat if you stick to paleo foods. Fruits and plant are low-glycemic and so they control our blood sugar levels and reduce our hunger longings. Eating paleo desserts is not just healthier you won't eat as much also.
