Delicious Banana Bread Pudding for Cold Winter Evenings

There isn't anything better than a scrumptious, melt-in-your-mouth treat to help warm you up on those exceptionaly cold winter evenings in front of the hearthy fire. The banana bread pudding recipe given below will enable you to enjoy a heavenly treat in the evening without taking too much of your precious time. This is an easy treat that can also be created in one hour and a half (including the baking time) and is ready to devour straight away.

Items needed for this tasty banana bread pudding recipe:

Bread slices - Six-Eight (white or brown, or a mix of both)

White sugar - 5 big spoons

Raisins - One third cup

Roasted and sliced pecans - 1/2 cup

Ripe banana - Three (3) (massive)

Eggs - four huge

Nutmeg powder - Quarter (1/4) table spoon

Butter - Quarter stick

Whipping cream - Two cups

Vanilla extract - One (1) spoon

To prepare the bread pudding:

Grease a 9 Half (1/2) in. baking dish with a tiny amount of butter.

Warm the cooker to 180C.

Now remove the brown crust from the bread slices and cut the bread into thin fingers. Quickly set aside in open air.

Peel the bananas, cut them lengthwise, and cut in thin slices.

Brown the butter and Two large spoons of sugar in a pan on medium heat. Add the banana slices and fry them on a low heat till caramelized. Allow to cool.

Mix the eggs in a massive bowl. Add the left over sugar, nutmeg powder, whipping cream and vanilla extract, and mix thoroughly.

Add the banana slices to the mixing bowl.

In the baking dish, prepare about a 1/3 of the bread fingers at the dishes bottom.

Organize a layer of bananas over the bread and pour a third of the mix over it.

Sprinkle some soaked raisins and pecans on top.

Now create another banana-bread layer over the top and spread the rest of the bread fingers as a last layer.

Press gently to permit the bread soak up the liquid.

Bake in the stove for 45 minutes.

While the pudding is baking, prepare the sauce using:

1/2 stick of butter

1/2 cup of whipping cream

Half cup of brown sugar

A pinch of salt

Melt the butter in a pan and add the cream and sugar to it. Once it's all mixed, add the salt.

Take off burner.

Your sauce is ready.

To serve, cut a sliver of the bread pudding and put it on a plate. Serve the sauce in a dipping bowl alongside it.
