Fruit Smoothies Are A Gentle And Effective De-Tox Plan

By Alison Simon

Many folks accept that de-toxing their body is a smart way to kick start a good weight management program

But chemically dependant de-tox programs cerainly are not the answer! A detox diet plan can be entirely natural and still quite successful without the urgency of probably damaging chemicals. A natural detox diet plan is based on big quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables to be effective and a terrific way to get the necessary amount is in smoothies. Fruit and vegetable smoothies can be prepared as a breakfast, lunch or mid day meal with entirely organic ingredients.

Building a smoothie that flushes out poisons and promotes energy is essentially simple. Smoothies can be made from a wide selection of fruits, veggies, juices and dairy products that contain precisely the ingredients you need to not only increase your metabolism but are also packed full of vitamins, minerals, anti oxidising compounds and nutrient elements required for top health.

You can actually make a large number of different smoothies without violating your detox diet plan. Smoothies made with a wide variety of berries, carrots or maybe dark leafy green veggies like spinach have a good deal of fiber which is vital to digestion. Making smoothies with citrus fruits like oranges, tangerines, lemons or limes will help flush out toxins. And, fruits with a diuretic effect include cranberries, honeydew, pineapple, kiwi, or cantaloupe to name only a few. Detox does not have to be uncomfortable and make you feel disagreeable. With the right mix it can be natural and healthy.

So, there is also a straightforward and satisfactory way to add far more vital healthy nutrients to both your preferred diet and your smoothies by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed to your fruit smoothies. Chia is definately a more complete food source than either flax or whey powders and has the added benefit of having no taste of its own. So , it does mix well with any of your smoothie recipes without changing the taste or results.

Try this breakfast smoothie tomorrow and you are going to be surprised at the new energy you have all during the day.

1 cup of frozen strawberries

1 big orange, peeled, sectioned and seeded

1 lime, peeled and seeded

1/2 cupno fat yogurt (try Greek yogurt for different consistency)

1 Tbsp Chia seed

Mix all the above ingredients in your blender and mix until the mix is smooth. Often a smoothie can be too thick due to the natural state or ripeness of the fruit you use. If the smoothie is too thick, simply add one or two ice cubes and process again till it reaches the consistency you most like.
