Easy bread machine recipes are a boon for all bread-lovers. A bread maker has the most straightforward steps to follow and is extremely easy to maintain. It removes the difficulty of kneading the dough and thinking about whether I got it right or not. I also save a substantial amount of time if I use the bread machine. I find that bread machine bread has a better and finer texture than hand-kneaded bread. Below is an easy rye bread recipe bread machine that my whole family loves.
What you need:
- Water - One (1) cup + three (3) tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Vinegar - Two (2) tablespoons
- Ground flaxseed powder - 2 tablespoons
- Basil - 1 1/2 tablespoons
- Oat flour - Half (1/2) cup
- Spelt flour - One and a half cups
- Rye flour - 2 cups
- Vital wheat gluten - Two tablespoons
- Active dry yeast - Two (2) tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
Method:
- Instead of store-bought oat flour, I like to make fresh oat flour. You can make this at home by grinding rolled oats in a blender.
- Carefully clean the bread pan and the kneading blade.
- Make sure the pan is dry before you start adding the ingredients.
- Pour the water into the pan.
- Next add the vinegar and olive oil.
- Sprinkle the flaxseed powder and basil on top.
- Gently add the flours on top of the liquids in a way that covers the liquids fully.
- Add the salt.
- The very last and most critical step when making bread in the bread machine is adding the yeast. The yeast has to be added very carefully to ensure that it will not come into contact with the liquids.
- Cover the bread pan with the lid.
- Set the bread baking machine to run on a basic cycle.
- After the cycle is finished, leave the bread to cool in the pan for approximately five (5) minutes.
- Remove the bread from the pan then cut in slices to serve.
- If you feel that the bread is too soft then bake it in the oven for a further ten minutes at 350 F; this makes a crusty loaf.
Creamy Swiss cheese spread with the bread makes an enjoyable dip.
What you'll need:
- Cream cheese - Three hundred grams
- Milk - 2 tablespoons
- Finely shredded Swiss cheese - 1/2 cup
- Chopped fresh chives - One tablespoon
Method:
- Combine the cream cheese and milk until it becomes smooth.
- Whisk in the Swiss cheese and fresh chives.
You can store this mixture in the chiller for a few days.
The bread can be eaten as it is, but if you toast it and spread a layer of jam or marmalade over the top before eating you'll like it even more.
