Easy and Simple Guacamole

By Alejandro Mole

Any individual can make this simple guacamole dip. Even though it is a straightforward recipe, the flavors combine for a genuine, rich, Soutwestern taste experience. It is really common at parties where individuals can eat it as a dip with corn chips, bean dip, salsa and sour cream, but it is actually a great side for any Southwestern, Mexican or Mediterranean style meal. Commonly, it tastes fresher when created in an hour of serving, but, if the pit or seed of one of the avocados sits in the middle helping the guacamole stay fresh, it is going to keep as much as 24 hours. Moreover, for those with delicate stomachs, it seems that this recipe is milder than those using raw onion and garlic. Avocado, certainly, is extremely calming to the stomach. In about fifteen minutes of preparation time, any person can whip up this guacamole. It is actually a winner in fast food and taste.

Simple Guacamole Ingredients

3 huge or 4 tiny avocados, 1 t. onion powder, 1/2 t. garlic powder, 1 T lemon or lime juice (fresh, frozen and thawed, or canned, measured to taste)

Instructions

Cut the avocado into quarter sections and remove the peeling and seed. Set one of the seeds aside. Toss the rest of the peeling and seeds away. Place avocado inside a medium-sized mixing bowl or food processor and add the other ingredients. Mash all the ingredients together till the avocado is smooth. Scoop the guacamole into a serving bowl or food storage container.

If serving time is much less than an hour away, let guacamole to remain at room temperature so the flavors will blend, but store the dip in the fridge if serving time is more than 1 hour away. Be certain to nestle at least one seed in the middle of the guacamole to ensure continued freshness. As strange as this action might sound, avocado begins to brown soon after the preparer takes away the seed pit and even the acid in the lemon juice will not avoid discoloration and the spoilage that shortly follows.
