Oatmeal & Raisin and Chocolate chip are everyone favourite cookies, but you can have too much of a good thing and start getting bored. I love Chocolate chip, and the smell of a fresh batch is indescribable, so they'll never disappear from my kitchen completely.
I'm also open to new ideas and suggestions though, and am willing to try anything. It's only by mixing and matching and playing around that you can discover new delights.
There are a few new cookies which I've tried lately, and I'm so glad that I did. Here are a few of the ones I made that were really tasty and will definitely be on my list from now on when baking day comes around.
One clever idea that I think you will enjoy is using a cake mix to make your cookies from. They even crack like shop bought cookies and taste brilliant, and there are so many flavors to experiment with.
The next one I tried was using dough made from peanut butter. You can make this yourself or buy it ready made. When you take the cookies from the oven create a space inside each cookie and pop in a peanut butter cup, get the picture?
One of my most successful experiments has been to create cookies using cranberries and white chocolate. These two flavors marry together very well and taste divine. The batch disappeared in no time, and I'm now getting requests to keep making them!
A sweet and tasty treat using cherry, chocolate chips and buttered toffee is my last idea today. Just chuck them into your mixture and prepare your taste buds for a real treat.
I hope my ideas have inspired you to try some of your own, or even take my suggestions and add your own twist to them. Making cookies is a lot of fun, and inventing new ones that turn out to be winners is very satisfying.
