Tasty Foofa Flower Cupcakes That Your Birthday Guests Will Love

By Willow Chase

Worrying about what dessert to make for your child's Yo Gabba birthday party? Here is a super easy recipe to create Foofa flower cupcakes that your guests will love and other parents will want the recipe for.

Here's What You Will Need:

* 12 Cupcakes (any flavor) * White Frosting * Green Food Coloring * 20 Large Marshmallows * Cutting Board * Sharp Knife * 12 Nilla Wafer Cookies

Don't want to bake? Okay - just buy them from your local grocery store. Just make sure you ask them to bake your cupcakes in white liners so that your flowers pop.

Foofa's flowers are so simple to make! We are going to make the green frosting first. Take your white frosting and put in about 5 drops of your green food coloring. Now stir this until there is no white frosting visible. This frosting is going to be used as the plant part of your flower so get it to a light green color. Don't worry if you make it too dark, you can easily add more white frosting to tone it down.

Take all twelve of your cupcakes and frost them with a good thick layer. Spreading this too thin won't let you create the flower on your cupcake so make sure you pile it on. Try to stay away from frosting the edges of your cupcake so that it doesn't make a mess when your guests grab them.

It's time to cut out the petals. Grab a marshmallow and lay it on it's side on your cutting board. Instead of sawing your marshmallow you are going to press your knife straight down to cut it. Each marshmallow should yield 60 petals, 3 per marshmallow.

Here comes the fun part! Lay your petals around the cupcake leaving a 1/2" - 1/4" diameter hole in the center. You should be able to fit 5 petals per cupcake. Now grab that Nilla cookie and dab some frosting onto it and press it down in the center of your flower. Presto, you have adorable flowers that your guests will rave over!
