Discover A Little More About What A Yeast Free Diet Means

By Ray Peters

The promotion of good health and well being of the body can be achieved through yeast restricted dieting. The bacteria living in the body is usually harmless, but there comes some times when they cause one to have symptoms like bloating and abdominal pain. When you hear a yeast free diet, it means just that; cutting off consumption of any yeast containing foods such as pretzels, bread, cookies, rolls, pastries among others.

Yeast is also contained in vinegar which means foods that contain vinegar should be among those to avoid eating. Examples of these include barbecue sauce, mustard, salad dressing, pickled foods, pickles and mayonnaise. Those foods that are prepared by fermentation should also be avoided and these are sauerkraut or cider and beer, spirits and wine drinks.

To add on to the list are moldy foods such as smoked, dried or pickled meat, cheese, some nuts like peanuts and pistachios and mushrooms. More of these include prepackaged herbs, malt, canned tomatoes, soy sauce and teas. Sugar craving is also common with yeast intolerant persons and this is among those to be avoided.

The sugars to eliminate include confectioners, granulated and brown sugar. Drink mixes, chocolate, soft drinks and honey/maple syrup are some of those that contain these sugars. Also to avoid is corn syrup that contains high levels of fructose as well as fruits like citrus, grapes, dates, raisin, figs and prunes.

The levels of yeast will have gone down remarkably by the end of the sixth week of dieting. The body should now be able to adjust to this new found conditioning and the results are a healthier feel and look. Short and long term energy reserves are created when these toxins are flushed from the body system. One should be ready though for side effects that include flue, irritability, fatigue and weakness caused when the body dumps the toxins into the intestinal and/or vaginal tract.

This should not worry you though, because the system will rebound very quickly. Yeast dairy products and sugar should be avoided all through the dieting process for you to maintain good health and prevent reoccurring of body problems. Once you hit the six week mark of dieting small amounts of restricted foods can be consumed but one at a time.

You can tell when the foods bring about problems to your system by tracking the body. Doing this helps you understand things better and which foods should still be avoided. This is also a learning opportunity for those that are yeast intolerant regarding how much to eat and the symptoms that signal them when they need to stop taking certain yeasty foods.
