Smoothie Recipes And Juicing Are A Breeze To Make And Nutritious

By Florine Medina

You can use any fruits and vegetables for smoothie recipes and juicing. Smoothies are drinks that are very similar to milkshakes. They have the same rich consistency, but the major difference is that they are healthy and not packed with fat and refined sugar.

Smoothies made with healthy ingredients can stop cravings for candy and fatty snacks. If you are trying to lose weight, you can substitute one meal a day with a variety of smoothies. Here are three fabulous smoothie mixtures, each one of which has unique health benefits.

If you are feeling lethargic, you can boost your energy levels with a blend of carbs and proteins that will kick-start the nerve impulses in your brain. Blend 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, a cup of diced banana, 1/2 cup of cold tofu, half a cup of cold milk, and one teaspoon of flaxseed powder.

Some smoothies act as excellent detoxifiers. The main ingredients in this next recipe are avocado and apple. Apples have a high content of malic acid which breaks down accumulated metals, while avocado has a high content of glutathione, a strong antioxidant. Put one avocado (de-stoned) in the blender with a cup of cored, cubed, and peeled apples. Add one teaspoon of psyllium powder, 2 teaspoons of crushed, peeled ginger, and 1/2 cup of carrot juice.

To help burn up extra calories and promote weight loss, the following is one of the most effective weight-watchers smoothies. One cup of fresh raspberries or strawberries, half a cup of chilled tofu, half a cup of cold milk, a teaspoon of flaxseed powder, and three tablespoons of cocoa powder. This one is great if you are craving chocolate.

Smoothie recipes and juicing can also reduce stress levels, especially after a busy day at work. This recipe contains lots of vitamins and has a high level of nutrition. Blend two-and-a-half cups of strawberries, one pitted peach, half a cup of strawberry nectar, a cup of low-fat yogurt, and two cups of ice.
