Juice From My Kitchen? It's More Fun Than You Thought!

By Gene Fink

Practically everyone you know can recall a time in their life when they were admonished at the dinner table to finish their veggies. If the idea of consuming multiple servings of whole fruit leaves you with cold feet, you will love the juicing tips and tricks that you are about to read.

Let color guide you. From vibrant greens to bright reds, all these colored vegetables and fruits offer many kinds of minerals and nutrients. Using different colored produce will give you more nutrition and different flavors.

You need to include fruit and vegetables in your juice which you don't get in your meals, and then add a few sweeter options to add flavor. If you never vary your routine, you will likely miss out on many key nutritious options. Apple juice is a great base for juices, and can disguise a multitude of tastes you may not like.

Learn more about the ingredients you want to use before juicing. There are big differences in minerals and vitamins, along with the wide amount of produce that you can get. Choose a blend of vegetables and fruits that provide the vitamins and minerals that meet your individual needs. Not only will juicing give your body the nutrients you require, but you may concoct a tasty beverage or two.

When you are finished with a juicing session, mix in the pulp with your juice. Pulp has fiber, so you will add nutrients to your juice this way. Regardless of how much pulp you incorporate into your drinks, fiber will always be beneficial.

Add cucumber to dark leafy greens. Most leafy greens will have a strong and somewhat unpleasant flavor. Cucumber will not only mask this taste, but adds a refreshing flavor to your drink. Cucumber, especially unpeeled cucumber, contains a variety of healthy nutrients.

If your kids do not like vegetables or their tastes, consider juicing them. Children are notorious for disliking vegetables. If you want to be really sneaky, mix fruits and vegetables in the same juice to hide that fact that the juice drink contains vegetables.

Juices really are a great way to make your diet healthier, and they taste delicious as well. Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables provides your body with all of the vitamins and minerals that it needs.
