How to Make Coquito

This is my Coquito Recipe and is also an aging Puerto Rican tradition punch served and celebrated in the course of the Christmas holidays and New Years celebrations. The drink is the same as eggnog. What i mean may be that coquito has rum from it. There are numerous variations of making coquito.

Today we'll specialize in showing you exactly how my parents trained me in find out how to make coquito. This is the easiest and fastest method to make coquito. This is an easy version of a coquito recipe. It's the way I ensure it is and everyone loves it.

Coquitio Recipe Breakdown:

1 can of Cream of coconut 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk 1 egg yolk 1 tsp of vanilla 1/2 shot of cinnamon water 1-2 cups of Rum... depending on how strong you want it. (to measure the amount of rum I just use an empty can of cream of coconut and fill it to the rim)

Start by boiling 1 cup of water together with the 5-6 cinnamon sticks for 5-10 minutes and let cool. While that's boiling go ahead and start mixing the coquito inside the blender. Start by adding 1 can of cream of coconut, 1/2 can of condensed milk, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp of vanilla, in the event the cinnamon water has cooled down add 1/2 shot of a typical cinnamon water, fill 1 empty can of the cream of coconut with white rum and pour it inside the blender.

Mix well for about 5-10 minutes, taste it in case it's good, leave so is, if not and then add more rum. Let chill for a couple hours or even a day. Serve cold!! When you Start Making Your Coquito? I typically make my coquito a day of many occasion. For example. My entire family, we celebrate X-Mas on Christmas eve in the evening. And so i will prepare my coquito early in the daily.

You can begin the actual day before, i wouldn't do it now earlier than that. Reason being happens because Coquito tends to thicken. If you happen to make your coquito every week early, you will have an extremely thick drink.

The length of time is Coquito Good for? Chances are high that your chosen Coquito will be lapsed the top of a typical night. In case not then I would admit that it will be perfect for a minimum of two to three weeks. Remember to keep it chilled while in the the fridge. Coquito will thicken up. If you feel that it is to thick, then simply add some water with it until you obtain the goal thickness.
