How To Choose Custom Cutting Board

There have been many custom cutting board advances in the past making new choices able to be made. Safety needs should be heeded in use and cleanup so that the possibility of poisoning food does not become a problem. Germs like to breed on these if not cleaned properly.

Many people grew up with the old wooden one being used in the kitchen they are now being made of other types of woods. The sound of chopping on this kind seems to hold an appeal for many. Ones made from bamboo are more resistant to disease and harder, also a bit more expensive.

Generally the plastic form is the safest and easiest for clean up as they can go right in a dishwasher. Flexible ones add ease to the cook in transferring food and being able to store about anywhere. Using the harder ones can not only be used for cutting but as trivets as well, and dishwasher safe.

Many creative designs fitting into a simple to complex decor are the glass designs. If not used for its intended purpose would make a wonderful counter protector, as they are heat resistant. These are often the hardest on a knife and can have an annoying sound while slicing, however still the most sanitary.

Dishwasher safe and very durable and long lasting are the ones made of Composites. Usually things like resin and paper, or wood and synthetics. These can be very versatile and giving the more gentle nature on a knife's edge.

Deciding if using larger ones for certain types of meats possibly and then smaller kinds for fruit and vegetables the options and choices can be made as needed. Whether wood, glass, plastic, or a composite choices are endless. Of all the contrasting kinds shopping for a new custom cutting board will be a fun and tasty experience.
