Meatless Mondays at School & Impact of Eating Products like Quorn

When it comes to eating vegetarian, there are a number of trends associated with it that I can easily recommend. Meatless Mondays have recently become a trend where you do not eat any meat during one day of the week. Simply the idea of going about this kind of thing brings about a slew of positive images and one of them, in my mind, is the reduction of the carbon footprint that human beings are responsible for. This factor, as well as others, can arise if more is done in terms of eating products like Quorn.

Meatless Monday is, in essence, a nonprofit action in order to bring about meat consumption during every Monday. The article talked about South University in particular but it seems like this practice is being seen throughout a number of other schools, too. In the dining halls of these schools, there have risen more environmentally sustainable dishes which have not included the aspect of meat. Over 140 different schools have gotten onboard with this and I feel like the schools are better because of it.

The Michigan Daily talked about the efforts of students at South University as far as expanding knowledge of going meatless. Not only was information about the meat industry in general spread but there were vegetarian samples passed out to people in order to better explain their cases. This has all been done in order to bring down the amount of meat consumption within that particular campus and potentially other places of the world, too. It's good to see that more knowledge is being spread in terms of sustainability.

There are many items which can come into Meatless Mondays but those which are recommended by such names as Yumi Media seem to be best. One of the actions to take, in this regard, is eating products like Quorn and this is due to a number of reasons. One of them is the meatless properties they contain, which probably goes without saying. In addition, the amount of cholesterol that would have been associated is gone and in its place are the proper nutrients associated with it.

Meatless Monday is all about eating healthier and, if you ask me, people would be wise to support this. You would be surprised at just how much of an impact something as simple as abstaining from meat once a day each week can have. The benefits which follow are great and they aren't just ones that appeal to you, either. Yes, you will be healthier because of the more sustainable food options but the idea of your carbon output being decreased should stand as another attractant.
