Do You Crave Pancakes That Are Light And Fluffy

By Helge Vang Andersen

Do you crave pancakes that are light and soft? Many people love the taste, feel, and sensation of a lovely pancake cooked to perfection. Here are a few useful tips to help you create a pancake that makes those in your household look forward to breakfast time.

In your quest for perfection do not get in a hurry. This is especially important when it comes to mixing your ingredients. Slowly add the milk to your flour. This will allow it to completely blend. Sometimes you may experience lumps and this does not mean you have ruined anything. You can strain your lumpy mixture into another bowl with the use of a sieve.

Once you have your batter mixed the way you like it, let it sit for a bit. Twenty minutes gives all your ingredients the chance to blend together. A properly mixed batter is a great start for fluffy cakes.

You might be tempted to cook your cakes with butter for added flavor. This may not be in your best interest as butter burns at low cooking temperatures and you will get better taste with a vegetable oil. You also will notice lighter and fluffier cakes if you use less batter and go for something thinner.

Instead of a spatula, consider using a pallete knife for pancake cooking. It is more flexible and makes it easier to check underneath to see if your pancake is done. You are also less likely to make a mess in the kitchen, this way.

Do you crave pancakes that are light in nature? It will not be too difficult if you slow down and take more time. Remember, the initial pancake of the day may be imperfect. After your pan heats up, the next ones will be much better. Be patient and persistent, and soon you will be creating a breakfast no one wants to be late for.
