Ideas for recipes with ketchup

By Josh Callern

Good food is loved by everyone. Be it you are taking it at home or in your favorite restaurant, good food is just the thing to make your day.

The factor that makes food special is the ingredients and the method of preparation. A unique ingredient can make food special where nothing else could.

Recipes comprise of numerous factors. One of the more interesting ingredients is ketchup.

Are there gourmet recipes that have ketchup?

Many recipes get a zest out of ketchup. The special recipe uses ketchup to make it special. The name of the recipe is Barbecued Catfish. The sauce is formed by mixing all the ingredients in a cup of ketchup. The cat-fish is marinated within the mixture and let to stand in the fridge for 15 minutes. You should take 12 minutes to cook the fillets continuously basting them with sauce. Afterwards, you should have a fine meal.

Another of my favorite recipes that is enhanced by ketchup is called Crockpot Sloppy Joes. It involves mixing all the ingredients with one cup of ketchup and cooking them on a crock-pot for about 6 hours. When done, it is served on a toasted hamburger bun for a great meal.

What about some barbecued spareribs Your spareribs can receive a good taste by using a cup of ketchup for glazing them. All the ingredients are mixed together and then poured over the ribs. For an extra flavor, the ribs are marinated for 3-4 hours prior to baking them for that exquisite taste.

Here is an interesting recipe. You mix your 1 cup of ketchup with 1 cup of root beer, some lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and some brown sugar. You bring this to a boil, stirring occasionally. You then simmer until you have about 1 volume Seasoning may be added to taste. This makes a wonderful barbecue sauce. The sauce is stored In the refrigerator until it is required.

Finally, there is Barbecued Tex-Mex Wings. The sauce is found by adding a cup of ketchup with other ingredients. Your wings are placed on the grill while you are basting them. Basting them more will cause them to burn because of the sugar content. After 10 minutes, you might be having some good wings courtesy of ketchup.

These are just some of the many Ketchup recipes. My friends pester me on the condiment though all these recipes be very tasty. Luckily I buy in bulk or use ketchup coupons every chance I get.
