Simple Recipes For Baked Salmon

By Chris Fargas

The taste and flavor of salmon is simply sublime. To some, it's a flavor that completes one's gastronomic appetite, rendering simple dishes to one that is fit for a queen. Baking salmon is one way to make your salmon burst with flavor- the very thing that makes other dishes divine by adding some. That is why baked samon recipes are a given norm in any culinary culture.

Matching a recipe with your cooking talent will be a breeze since there are tons and tons to choose from. It's a good thing that baked salmon recipes are simple and easy to follow. Before putting your salmon in the over, all you really have to do is mix up the ingredients then coat your fish. But, probably the most important things to remember are the heat of the oven and the duration of the baking process. If you overcook it or undercook it, the taste and the texture will not quite be as expected. If you have to choose between the two, undercooking is better than overcooking, you can always bake it again for it to be fully cooked. Below is a recipe that you might want to take a stab at. If it is done properly, you will impress even the most meticulous of critics.

Baked Salmon in Lemon Basil

Ingredients:

-2 cloves of finely chopped garlic

-6 tablespoons light olive oil

-A teaspoon full of dried basil

-One teaspoon of salt

-A teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

-1 table spoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice

-1 tablespoon of chopped Italian flat leaf parsley

-2 (6 ounce) fillets salmon

Start by mixing your marinade, merge garlic, light olive oil, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and parsley and mix until wholly emulsified. You want to mix this well so the oil is well merged with the lemon juice. Fix your fillets in a well sized baking dish and pour the marinade over the fillets. Marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, turning every so often.

Preheat your oven to 345 degrees F or 190 degrees C.

Transfer the fillets in aluminum foil and empty leftover marinade over the fish, seal the foil. Put the foil on a baking tray and bake for 35-40 minutes. Serve instantly.
