Various great tasting gourmet ideas with ketchup

By George Dodson

Everyone loves good food. Whether it is at home or in our favorite restaurant, a quality dining experience just sets off the day in a special way.

Much of what makes that food special, is the way it is prepared and the ingredients included in it. A unique ingredient can make food special where nothing else could.

Recipes incorporate various things. Of many interesting ingredients, ketchup is one of them.

What are some of the good gourmet recipes that include ketchup?

Many recipes get a zest out of ketchup. The special recipe uses ketchup to make it special. The name of the recipe is Barbecued Catfish. You mix all the ingredients to include cup of ketchup to make a sauce. All the ingredients are mixed up in cup of ketchup to form the sauce. You marinate the catfish with this mixture and let it stand in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. You cook for about 12 minutes, continuously basting the filets with the sauce. When done, you have a wonderful meal.

Crockpot Sloppy Joes is another of my favorite ketchup recipes. It involves mixing all the ingredients with one cup of ketchup and cooking them on a crock-pot for about 6 hours. When done, it is served on a toasted hamburger bun for a great meal.

What of barbecued spareribs. This recipe uses cup of ketchup to create a sauce that you use to glaze your favorite spareribs for that perfect taste. The ingredients are mixed up and then poured over the ribs. To get an extra flavor, the ribs should be marinated for 3-4 hours before baking them In order to find that perfect taste.

Here is an interesting recipe. You mix your 1 cup of ketchup with 1 cup of root beer, some lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and some brown sugar. This is brought to boil with occasional stirring. It is then simmered until you have about of the volume. You can also season to taste. This makes a wonderful barbecue sauce. You can keep the sauce in the fridge until you need it some other time.

Barbecued Tex-Mex Wings are also one of the recipes. You add cup of ketchup to the other ingredients to produce a basting sauce. The wings are basted while you are grilling them. The sugar content might make basting them more to burn. Ketchup will get you some delicious wings in 10 minutes.

These are just some of the many Ketchup recipes. My friends pester me on the condiment though all these recipes be very tasty. Luckily I buy in bulk or use ketchup coupons every chance I get.
