I'm not someone who's going to speak ill of people who eat food differently. If you're someone who abstains from fruits and vegetables, it doesn't make you a terrible person, nor does it apply to those who stay away from meat at every turn. However, I can't help but feel like people have been speaking ill of certain meals and it makes me wonder what exactly they were expecting. Quorn complaints seem to exist and I, for the life of me, cannot see why.
Quorn complaints are ones that I cannot seem to wrap my head around, especially when people speak about them unknowingly. People have to be aware that this product is not meat but something developed in order to take its place. Mycoprotein is, in my eyes, an impressive feat of technology and it's used to replicate aste and texture of meat without incorporating calories and fat content. My respect goes to these sorts of organizations which work to drive home the point of health, Yumi Media amongst them.
While it's okay to not particularly enjoy a particular food or a few, others may very well enjoy them. When talking about reviews about food, it's understandable that people are going to have different views and that they're not going to take to the same things in the same ways. I may not enjoy bologna as much as others, so that means that I'm not going to write a complaint or a review about it. Such reviews, in my mind, don't hold a lot of weight based on this problem alone.
Sometimes people will have different allergic reactions to food, which is common for people with illnesses they had no prior knowledge of. Someone who's intolerant to soy may not know about it until he drinks a certain glass of milk. It's one of those factors that, just like taste, seems to vary from person to person without seemingly any impact one can deem negative. If a certain product does cause a reaction in one person while generally everyone else unaffected, it just means that one's body isn't built for it.
Quorn complaints might be seen as justified but to me, there does not appear to be much weight to them. Everyone takes to different things and when they become invested in a product, it's okay for them to stand up and speak if there is a flaw. People may not know just how much of an effect they can have and can change something for the better. Food is not something that can be so easily altered, due to different tastes, which makes reviews tough to rely on.
