A lot of different foods either inflame your arthritis or arthritis is actually a bunch of food allergies, it isn't known which. It doesn't matter, though, because it is certain that if you have joint swelling and pain, it is certain foods that is bringing it on. By avoiding these foods, you'll live a pain-free life with arthritis. Plus, you won't have to take drugs and you won't have to move to the desert.

Joint Paint Caused by Dairy Foods

Any type of milk product or derivatives of milk products will inflame arthritis or cause pain and swelling in the joints. Avoid milk, cheese, whey, and butter. When shopping, look at the product's ingredients label and also avoid any name that begins with "lact." Whether you notice it or not in the beginning, dairy is certainly playing a major part in the pain you are feeling in all of your joints. With so many food allergies being consumed, you are likely not noticing which food is causing the problem because you feel awful all of the time.

One trick when shopping for prepacked food in the grocery store is to look for the kosher symbol. There will be a U with a circle around it or a K with a circle around it. If it doesn't say 'dairy' with that little mark then you're good to go, there is no dairy in it. Rabbis will not tolerate any dairy at all in a product they certify to be free of dairy. In Jewish custom, dairy only means milk products, eggs are not considered dairy. There are many kosher symbols, but the circle U and circle K are the most common ones.

The basic list of foods to avoid when you have the joint pain and joint swelling of arthritis is: milk products, eggs, tomatoes, citrus fruits and palm oil. There are more, but the biggest problem is dairy, followed by tomatoes and citrus.

Citric acid is in so many more products than you'd imagine. It is a very common flavoring and it is a very popular natural preservative. It is used in packaged fruits, pickling, in candies and soda pops. It is a pesky ingredient you'll see over and over on food labels.

Nightshade plants are known for their poisonous nature and we eat the tomato anyway. However, if you have arthritis, you need to consider them poisonous because they do cause your joints to swell and inflame. You may have noticed this because your body is in a constant state of inflammation from many foods you're eating that cause problems for you. Once you clear your system out, it'll be very easy to identify problem foods. You will start to swell and have pain within an hour of eating them.

Avoiding the foods in this article will get you started in living a pain-free life with arthritis. There are more foods to avoid, but this article points to the biggest problem foods for those suffering with joint pain due to arthritis. If you avoid dairy and tomatoes you'll feel a good deal of relief within a week.
